Neil Gibson
Presently studying for a Physical Science Honours degree, Neil joined Jane’s in 2001 after working as a contractor to the MoD in the conventional weapons testing arena. In addition to editing Jane’s Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence, Neil is technical advisor to Jane’s Missiles and Rockets (energetic systems and ballistics). He also works on projects for the land desks, working primarily with Jane’s Military Vehicles and Logistics and Jane’s Land Based Air Defence. Neil contributes to Jane's International Defence Review covering warhead and explosives technologies. In contributing to JNBC Neil focuses on Detection Systems, Nuclear Weapons and effects, Technology Development, Training and Simulation and Demilitarisation.
Eleanor Beeson
After graduating from Girton College, Cambridge in 2007 Eleanor completed a masters degree at the University of Durham before joining Jane’s in 2008. As well as editing Jane’s Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence, while at Jane’s Eleanor has worked on projects for both the sea and land desks, working primarily with Jane’s Naval Weaponry Systems, Jane’s C4I, Jane’s Simulation and Training Systems and Jane’s Military Communications. She has also worked as a supportive researcher for Jane’s Police and Home Security Equipment. In contributing to JNBC Eleanor focuses on Individual and Collective Protection Systems and the nature of Chemical and Biological threats themselves as well as their Decontamination.
Emily Chorley
Emily Chorley is Jane's in-house CBRN Analyst, and is responsible for the NBC capabilities section of Jane's Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence. Emily also has editorial responsibility for Jane's CBRN Assessments and proliferation content in Jane's Intelligence Review, and has contributed to Jane's Homeland Security Review on issues of CBRN resilience. Emily has an Hon.BA in International Relations from the University of Toronto and an MA in Contemporary War and Peace Studies from the University of Sussex.
